The CSIRO Forest Hill Research Facility, situated in Queensland's Lockyer Valley, spans 77 hectares and includes approximately 50 hectares of arable land suitable for modern cropping research. The facility focuses on developing new and improved crop varieties, agricultural tools, and agronomy practices relevant to both temperate and subtropical agricultural regions. Once fully developed, it will house over 20 CSIRO staff, including researchers, agricultural support staff, and a software engineering team, building on CSIRO's legacy of research in the region since 1935.
