The Cultana Solar Farm is a large-scale renewable energy project located north of the Whyalla Steelworks in South Australia. Developed by SIMEC Energy Australia, the farm is designed to generate up to 280 MW of solar energy, contributing significantly to the national electricity grid via the existing Cultana and Whyalla substations. The project encompasses the installation of photovoltaic panels across vacant land, aiming to enhance energy security and support the transition to sustainable energy sources.
