Freemans Drive Slope Remediation

The Freemans Drive project remediated a 50m slope failure, and instability along a 200m length of road approximately 2km north of Freemans Waterhole. Remediation works included for clearing and scaling the affected areas, soil nailing and shotcreting, and constructing micropiled concrete capping beams to support new guardrails and impact barriers.

Works were constrained by the narrow construction footprint, and challenges in safely gaining access to downslope work areas.

EDCo supported the contractor with construction planning and scheduling during the tender phase and through construction.
