The Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) section is a critical component of Australia's Inland Rail project, aiming to enhance freight connectivity between Melbourne and Brisbane. This segment involves upgrading approximately 189 kilometers of existing rail corridor and constructing about 2 kilometers of new track near Moree, New South Wales. The project is divided into two phases to manage its scale and complexity effectively. Phase 1 focuses on the area from Narrabri to North Star, while Phase 2 addresses the section from Moree to Camurra. These upgrades will enable the operation of 1,800-meter-long double-stacked freight trains, significantly improving freight efficiency and capacity.
