The Parkes Bypass is a 10.5-kilometre realignment of the Newell Highway, situated approximately 2 kilometres west of Parkes, New South Wales. This project involves constructing a two-lane road (one lane in each direction) with five key intersections, including T-intersections and a four-way roundabout at Condobolin Road. Additionally, two new bridges are being built: one over the rail corridor and another over the bypass on Victoria Street. The bypass aims to enhance connectivity, improve road transport efficiency, and bolster safety for both local and interstate motorists. Upon completion, it is expected to divert around 1,200 trucks per day from the Parkes town centre, thereby improving pedestrian access and safety.
